HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.” Col. 3:17; 4:2

When I heard the full story of Jesus' life and death, it was impossible for me to be indifferent. The Holy Spirit made me realize Jesus should become central in my life.

Whatever I did, whatever I said, was intended to be done in His Name.

The more details I turned over to the Lord, for His will to be done, the more I thanked Him. He was not bored nor impatient with my details! ....(to read more click on article title)

PROUD TO GIVE GOD THANKS

Psalm 35:18 “I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.” Psalm 35:18

Giving thanks in public places, like prayer before a meal, no matter how brief, can cause a number of reactions among others nearby. Some recognize it as something they used to do, and may feel they ought to do it more often. Others, unused to such practices, may ridicule it to cover their surprise anyone would pray in public.

The Psalmist makes a declaration of unabashed pleasure in giving God thanks anywhere, anytime, before anybody....(to read more click on article title)

JOIN THE THANKSGIVING CHOIR

“So the two thanksgiving choirs stood in the house of God, likewise I and the half of the rulers with me.” Nehemiah 12:40

Nehemiah restored Jerusalem as a city holy to God by encouraging everyone to join the choir or the orchestra. He knew joyful worship would heal the afflicted. Israel had been dispersed, despised, distressed and depressed. Nehemiah's restoration work on the wall of Jerusalem had united them as a people blessed by God. GUARD THE DAY WITH GRATITUDE

“....to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at evening.”              I Chronicles 23:30

David learned in combat the power of prayer to deliver a nation. As a warrior and a worshiper, he assigned the Levite priests to praise and thank God every morning and evening. They were on regular duty to stand before God and worship.

It is not only a duty, but a privilege to praise God each morning and evening....(to read more click on article title)

RETURN AND RELEARN

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” I Ch.16:34

King David was full of joy. The Ark of the Covenant, radiant with God's presence, was in place within theTabernacle at last. It was a celebration, it was the day David inaugurated regular worship of praise to God. He gave a royal assignment to the priests who led worship; “Give thanks to God – he is good, for His mercy endures forever.

God's love never failed, but Israel failed. When the nation lost the Ark of His Presence to the enemy, they lost their sense of gratitude to the Lord. The return of the Ark to Israel meant God's people must relearn the art of worship....(to read more click on article title)
