Many of us can recall times of giddy joy when we played as children and ran to daddy for cover. We giggled and wiggled into his wide open arms and squirmed closer to hide from our huge self--imagined monsters. We remember how he covered us with protective love as we laughed at ourselves.
What a warm, happy picture of our text; you in Father's arms, in the lap of your Divine Daddy, the King's kid, snuggled safely in the arms of the Enthroned! Together, you can laugh at anything that chased you there.
You are welcome to run into the open arms of Papa God. Run for cover and let Him guard you. Share the delight you create when you run to Him. Laugh with shouts of joy.
RUN to God's open arms. The One you love defends you. You can face the future with joy.
PRAYER: Father God, I will come to You. In the name of your Son, Jesus, I trust you to embrace me with wide open arms. I will laugh and rejoice being close to You. Amen

The night before Jesus was born the world lay in darkness, mostly pagan. Except for a place called Palestine. It too, was full of dark shadows that lurked in historic Hebrew times, seasons and festivals; familiar figures who commemorated seasons and feasts; Sabbath, Atonement, and Jubilee. They were there waiting; prophets, patriarchs and priests.
