"Guard yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood."ACTS 20:28

This scripture is a message to believers and leaders in the church. Keep on your toes, for yourself and for the congregation. Leaders, remember the Holy Spirit put you in charge of God's people, to guard and to protect them.

Each person, like a sheep in a flock, is valuable to the Great Shepherd. He thought each one worth dying for. You were bought by his blood shed on the cross.

Since you are so precious to the Great Shepherd, he has assigned under-shepherds to care for you. Are you are in a flock, a local congregation. Are you nourished by a faithful pastor? A sheep left to fend for itself does not last long. It needs good teaching and constant care. Vicious wolves are ready to tear sheep from the flock.

A sheep uncared for and unprotected loses its value. When it goes its own way it becomes a stray. Stay with the flock. If you are not part of a local congregation, then find one and submit to a shepherd who cares. for your soul. God has a secure and safe place where you can grow strong and follow the Lord.

Feed on this -  Increase your value as part of the flock and accept the care of those God has placed to lead you.

Prayer: Lord, bless my pastor with wisdom and faith to care for all of us. May I set an example of humility and help to maintain the unity of the Spirit in your flock. Amen
