I recall my daughter, La Donna, reacting to stories about vampires, and horror films. She wondered why priests and others would brandish the cross to drive away the evil forces.
She learned the name and the blood of Jesus are vital parts of spiritual weaponry we can use against guilt and fear caused by lies of Satan, the Deceiver.
She later wrote: "A guilty conscience can be more frightening than any Hollywood fantasy or fictional Frankenstein. Guilt steals joy and shadows our smiles. The devil, our accuser, pursues us from failure after failure with shameful guilt."
Like my daughter, learn how, through Christ, you can be released from the tyranny of guilt. You have complete pardon by the blood of Jesus. Your enemy has no right to accuse you. Never let the enemy forget that you know your sins are under the blood of Jesus. La Donna thrives in that truth and teaches it to others.
Today's Thought: Victory over guilt is not pretending you never failed, but it is to live in divine forgiveness. His blood can clean up your whole life, inside and out.
Prayer: Father, I acknowledge my weakness and failure to live as good as you want me to. I also thank you for complete pardon through Jesus Christ who shed his blood for me. He gives me the power to do your will with joy. In Jesus' name. Amen
