Acts 2:1-4 " When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
All who waited in prayer on the Day of Pentecost were filled and all began to speak. They spoke as never before. Startled by the sudden sound of a strong wind in the prayer room and fiery flames above their heads, they remained focused, united in one place for one reason, to receive the Promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit. They opened up to the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Each man and woman yielded to the unexpected prompting of the Holy Spirit. and spoke languages they did not know.
People who heard them said they spoke languages they understood, their own mother tongues! For those who spoke and those who heard them speak, Pentecost was a miracle.
Friends, this miracle is for you to claim. Obey the Lord, and ask the Father for the fullness, Jesus will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. But, be warned. You will be challenged to let the Lord do it the way He chooses. Be humble enough to let Him have His way, even if you shake like a leaf in the wind or burn with His fire, or quietly wait. He knows what He needs to do to get you focused on receiving all He has for you, even to speak in a language you do not know.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers you to live a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led life. From the moment the Spirit comes upon you, He will prompt to speak words of blessing, words of knowledge and wisdom.
On the day of Pentecost, they began to speak and the continued to speak as the Spirit prompted them.
The book of Acts is a record of their boldness. They spoke to the world of their day with great power.
Keep filled with the Holy Spirit. Speak as He prompts and see lives changed, bondage broken, bodies healed. Remain yielded and He will teach you to pray in the spirit, with proclamations of faith and to prophesy. He will teach you to speak words of faith that cause people to say, " Jesus is alive today."
Act now! Ask the Father for the Holy Spirit's fullness and yield to Jesus, the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit. Expect a miracle and speak the unknown language to release His miracle power. You who are hungry for all the Lord has promised completely yield to the miracle of the unknown, the Spirit-filled empowered life. Find a place to pray and open up to Him.
Prayer: "Dear Lord, I claim the promise of the Holy Spirit, sent from the Father. I yield to you, Lord. Baptize me with the Holy Spirit. Praise you and thank you Jesus. I believe, I receive. I surrender all, my body to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. Cleanse me, fill me, empower me to be your witness. I thank you by faith and praise you....(Continue to adore and praise the Lord.)
