"And on his robe and on his thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." REVELATION 19:16
How can we make sense of the suffering and upheaval in the world? Look ahead. Here comes Jesus; heaven's warrior on a white horse. He's the Victor. He rushes out of an open heaven to lead angelic armies against the beast and false prophet. His enemies are doomed for defeat and punishment. He is the final Word, the ultimate Ruler.
His blood soaked robe is labeled and his very flesh is autographed with his heavenly name. The wounds of His suffering for our victory are still visible. Our warrior wears many diadems, symbols of his sovereignty, as "King of Kings and Lord of Lords." Christ, the victorious warrior, faithful and true, is the righteous Judge. He raises his sword against earth's enemy forces. The armies of Christ, angels and saints, share the conquest. They ride with the King as he captures the false prophet and the beast already consigned to eternal torment in the lake of fire.
You are on the right side: Your battle today here on earth is one of many in the war between God and Satan. Stand your ground, raise your sword of the Word of God, grip your shield of faith. Jesus is coming for the final battle. Until then, he sends forces and supplies to sustain you as you press into enemy territory. You are led by the One who bled.
Prayer: Let my tongue be as a sword of the Spirit. I declare victory by faith. I do not have a white horse Lord, but I have the Holy Spirit to carry me forward to declare victory in your Name. I confess I am an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb. Until you come, Lord, I'm your soldier. Amen
