"This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;  who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ."  Ephesians 4:17-20

This Scripture seems a bit stern and heavy, but it is a signpost to direct those who want a closer walk with the Lord. To proceed, you must leave the old path to follow the new way. When you do, you'll discover things are different now.

Once you lived aimlessly, with no purpose. Now you have a sense of direction, a purpose. Once you lived reckless, now you live responsibly, with care and prayer.

The ungodly seek knowledge with darkened minds. Christians seek wisdom with enlightened minds. Unbelievers are alienated from the life of God; believers are joined to the Lord and depend upon Him. The worldly are shameless in the face of evil; but now as a believer turn your face away from evil towards holiness. The ungodly deaden their consciences with repetitive sin; but believers are sensitive to what pleases God.

DON'T GO THEIR WAY!: There's no going along with the crowd anymore. That is no life for you. Everything with that old way of life has to go. Get rid of it.

PRAYER:  Dear Father, my life is so different since I accepted Jesus as my Savior. The things I once loved, I hate and the things I once hated, I love. Change me from the inside out. You see my heart. Cleanse me and let the beauty of Christ be seen in me. Holy Spirit. continue to teach me Christ and what pleases Him. I'm still learning, Lord. Amen
