“Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.” Acts 5:20
Where is the Lord asking you to go and stand today? - The angel of the Lord told the apostles to go right back where they had been arrested a few hours earlier. He freed them from jail, but not from witnessing.
It is one thing to talk about Jesus when everyone is on your side. It's another thing to be bold among others who are not as open to what you say about Jesus. But the Lord wants your testimony to be heard where the environment is the most hostile.
The early followers of Christ were arrested, beaten and imprisoned. But that did not stop them. The Scriptures say, “Day after day in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news.”
Good news is what you have to give in this world full of bad news. Share the happiness you have with others. Your story is really good news and others need to hear it. No preacher, priest or religious stranger at the door can talk to them like you can. The Lord can use you to heal broken hearts. To hear you tell how Jesus has transformed your life could make the difference for them between life and death.
If it is hard for you to talk to unbelievers about the Lord join in prayer with another believer. The Holy Spirit will honor your faith. Prayer makes a difference.
BE A GOOD NEWS PERSON: – day after day. Obey the Lord and take your stand. Don't be discouraged and give up. You don't know who's listening and how close they are to responding because you have not stopped talking about Jesus.
PRAYER: Father God, give me courage to stand where you send me and tell the full message of this life. Freely I have received, let me freely give. Holy Spirit, empower me to say words of life to those who need Jesus. In His Name, Amen.
