“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11
The prophet spoke to a nation doomed to spend years in Babylonian captivity due to their disobedience and idolatry. Yet, it was mercy mingled with judgement. Even as they were being chastised, they were on God’s mind. His thoughts of them were “not of evil” but “thoughts of peace.” What a powerful illustration of the thoughtfulness of God! God wanted to see them restored to Him and to their promised land.
What a great encouragement to know that we are on God’s mind today! When God thinks of us, His thoughts are positive. He cares about us and His thoughts are for our best interest and blessing.
YOU ARE IN HIS THOUGHTS: God has plans to take care of you, not to abandon you. He knows about your potential and your future. Think in harmony with His Word.
