EMBRACE GREATNESS

“ And He sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.” Mark 9:35

Jesus and His disciples had returned home to Capernaum . They had been with Jesus during some pretty heavy ministry. As they settled in, He asked what they had discussed on the road. The Twelve were embarrassed, for they had argued with one another over who among them was the greatest.

Jesus sat down and the disciples joined Him. “So, you want first place?” He asked, looking around at them, ”Then take the last place. Be servant of all.” ( to read more click on article title)


SENTRIES AND LOVERS

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave and strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”  I Corinthians 16:13-14

Christians face agitating issues in today's world. We must choose not to be silent about things that matter to us. It is our privilege to engage in contemporary issues with biblical truth. We dare not be weak and wobbly cowards, as many around us are.

It is amazing how much help we can get from the Scriptures on current issues. There are guidelines and clear commands which, if recognized and put into action, will maintain a light and salt effect in our homes, workplaces and even our churches! But our engagement must be enacted with love, not harsh regimentation.

STAND UP FOR JESUS!

“Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.” Acts 5:20

Where is the Lord asking you to go and stand today? -  The angel of the Lord told the apostles to go right back where they had been arrested a few hours earlier. He freed them from jail, but not from witnessing.

It is one thing to talk about Jesus when everyone is on your side. It's another thing to be bold among others who are not as open to what you say about Jesus. But the Lord wants your testimony to be heard where the environment is the most hostile.

The early followers of Christ were arrested, beaten and imprisoned. But that did not stop them. (to read more click on article title)
